This policy explains how Launch Auditor ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on launchauditor.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use browser local storage for your consent preferences and service worker caches for faster repeat visits.
How we manage consent
On your first visit, we show a cookie banner with three equally prominent choices: Customize, Reject all, and Accept all. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the service cannot function without them. Analytics and marketing cookies are blocked until you opt in. You may change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in our footer.
Cookie categories
- Strictly necessary (always active) — Required for sign-in, security, and core audit features. Includes session cookies and your consent choice.
- Analytics (optional) — Google Analytics (GA4) with Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics cookies and measurement stay disabled until you opt in.
- Marketing (optional) — Used for conversion measurement and advertising partners. We do not currently load marketing scripts.

Session and authentication cookies
When you sign in, we set a secure session cookie (la_session) so you stay authenticated between requests. This cookie is strictly necessary and cannot be disabled while using the signed-in product.
Stripe payments
When you subscribe or manage billing, you are redirected to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe Customer Portal. Stripe may set cookies on their domains (for example checkout.stripe.com) for fraud prevention and payment processing. These cookies are necessary to complete a transaction and are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics (optional)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage — for example which pages are visited and how visitors navigate the marketing site. We use Google Consent Mode v2: the Google tag script loads from googletagmanager.com, but consent defaults to denied, so no analytics cookies are set and no identifiable measurement happens until you consent to the Analytics category.
After you opt in, GA4 may set cookies such as _ga, _ga_*, and _gid on launchauditor.com. We configure IP anonymization where supported. If you withdraw consent, we signal Google to stop measurement and clear GA cookies where possible.

Marketing (optional)
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies on launchauditor.com. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent before loading such scripts.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features.
